Pomme De Terre really does have walleye 🤤 fried mushrooms and walleye and crappie is what’s for dinner 👍 Thank you Dan Hardison for the mushrooms. Today Shirley Lightfoot and I had a good day on the water. We was trying different spots and trying to locate different fish. The 6.8 Crappie Slammers rods from I AM Outdoors paired with the Bobby Garland Crappie Baits baby shad in the thump color did the trick. Caught several out of brush piles today. What a beautiful spring day ! My good friend Shirley Lightfoot and I caught several nice fish today. Searched several banks and found 62 to 64 degree water and still not on the banks. At least during the middle of the day. Today the 6.8 Crappie Slammers rods from I AM Outdoors paired with a 1/16 ounce jig head and the skab juice from Bobby Garland Crappie Baits was the ticket. I had a great afternoon catching some slabs with Carter. He is a great fisherman and the grandson to kim and Shawn the owners of Pomme de Terre State Park Marina the best marina on pomme de terre. Great food and Super nice people. If you are needing a boat rental this summer get ahold of them. And if you need a captain for that fun day on the water 🍹 get ahold of me Captain Brian I’m a lot cheaper than a BUI but don’t wait until the last minute to get on the calendar because its filling up fast and if I’m not available Boat Goat Captain Service has several other licensed and insured captains to choose from. We had a great time yesterday afternoon. I got my work for the day done early and was feeling spontaneous as I often do on a nice weather day lol. I decided to take the family on a fishing trip to Pomme de Terre out near Pittsburg. We got there a little later than I would have liked and only had about two hours of daylight left. We went to a few different spots and managed to boat a few fish. This trip, I decided to just focus on keeping the boat in position and let Presley and the kids do all the fishing. It was a blast watching the girls fish! They used to need me to do everything for them, including baiting the hook, casting out their line, and helping them get the fish in. Sitting there yesterday, watching them do it all on their own, made me feel proud of them and accomplished. They have another skill at their disposal to help provide for themselves for the rest of their lives, and I love that. The sun started to set, and the kids were cold and done, so we headed to the ramp. We pulled up at the same time as Brian with Last Cast Fishing Guide Service LLC USCG Master captain's license . He and his friend put the smack on em with baits from Junior's Jigs LLC!! Brian gave us their fish and my kids were pumped! I was pumped too haha. Thanks so much to Brian and his friend for the fish!!! We can’t wait to do a big fish fry on Friday. Make sure to grab your Juniors Jigs so you’re ready for those slabs and if you want a guide, give Last Cast a call! Super awesome guy!! Oh and Presley decided to learn how to filet fish! She did a great job and knocked out 20 or so while I was out getting dinner!! It was a super simple day but an amazing one we will never forget.

Had a great afternoon with Vern L Porter thank you for hiring me to be your captain today. We caught several nice fish this afternoon most of Them were caught on the yellow and chartreuse tube jig with a 1/32 ounce jig head. We caught several fish on the 1/16 ounce wonder bread and Earth apple jigs from Junior's Jigs LLC paired with the super sensitive 6.8 Crappie Slammers rods from I AM Outdoors just north of buffalo mo. Pomme de Terre Lake - Hickory, MO Fishing Report on 13th Jan, 2025

What a beautiful day ! Pomme de terre lake is producing some quality fish. Doug and I managed two nice limits of crappie today. Thanks again Doug for booking a trip with me today I’m glad I was able to teach you some new techniques. Today we caught fish in standing timber in 39 degree water casting at the tree and letting it fall back to the boat 20 ft deep as well as casting over shallow brush piles and reel it back in with the yellow and chartreuse Slab Buster Crappie Jigs and Lures with a white 1/8 ounce jig head. We was also using the thread fin shad by Bobby Garland Crappie Baits paired up with the super sensitive 6.8 Crappie Slammers rods from I AM Outdoors .
